Fun history

Just a little addition to this thread to perhaps bring a smile to a few faces and to make a point that history is not always boring. Way back in the distance of time (a bit after the Dinosaur’s) when the only way for sexy couples, singles to make contact was via contact magazines and even like today it could cost!! The most prominent one was Experience and only single ladies could advertise for free but it was always full of a wide variety of interests and we answered one for a couple that were interested in photography. We wrote and exchanged letters and photos, met and had great times as he showed me how to process and print my own B/W 35mm stuff (even colour slides) and from then on put our own adds in and met other couples, exchanging naughty photos (illegal to post by mail at that time) The good news was of course that all the couples had to be genuine or it was pointless making contact and it has meant that I have a large collection of pictures that I still enjoy reminiscing over and in later years did my own videos and that is even better.

Been there, done that, got the tee-shirt and badge and a few scars too!!!

RE: Fun history

I remember seeing those old magazines as a kid, usually lying under a hedge somewhere Smile I guess things have changed dramatically nowdays with the internet, but I wonder if it's for the better - maybe some of the excitement has gone.

Jeez, did you see that head come apart?

It definitely has Topper, the weeks of excited expectation added to the fun even though there were some dissapointments.

RE: Fun history

Just thought I'd resurrect this one as a reminder of how difficult it was to indulge in sexy correspondence and x-rated photography all those years ago.
Nowadays, online sex friends are to be found with just a few clicks and naughty pics of other people's partners are all over the internet!
I don't think I would have ever been brave enough to use one of the old contact magazines.
Great little thread.

In lots of ways it's a shame that the finding of a magazine stashed under a hedge as topper described has gone

Plus there would have been very few fake contacts in the mags

There were advantages to not having an internet

If you don't try it how do you know you don't like it?

Great little thread.
Wow - that old thread that RM has found has just triggered a memory.

My first ever proper job back in the 60's was as a Post Office counter clerk, back in the days when all Post Offices sold were postal related items !
There is a service called " poste restante", which is a service where the post office holds the mail until the recipient calls for it. I seem to remember that if the mail was uncollected after a set period, it would be opened and returned to the sender.
Every month a contact mag would arrive in a discreet brown envelope, but the recipient never
actually had the courage to call in and collect it, so the male staff would eagerly open the envelope and spend many a quiet moment perusing the contents ( usually in private in the loo !)

I must confess to a spotty 16 year old virgin that magazine was certainly a revelation !

There are no strangers on this forum - just sexy friends you have yet to chat with !
